Backyard Birds

Here are some of the wonderful birds that I have seen in our backyard lately. They bring a lot of joy to my life and I am always trying to capture good shots. What kind of birds or other wildlife are you seeing?

: Blue Jay and Sparrow

: House Finch and Chickadee?

: Female Northern Cardinal

: Sparrow and Brown-headed Cowbird

: Great Crested Flycatcher

: Collared Dove

: Red-bellied Woodpecker

: Eastern Bluebird

: Northern Cardinal

I keep seeing finches and doves. In fact, they each have a nest under the eaves of the back porch. They keep laying and hatching those eggs. They found a safe place on our back porch since we don’t use it that often.

  I sometimes wonder though if all the finches and doves are keeping the other birds away.

  Hopefully not. The doves we have don’t seem to run off other birds. We have the finches more sporadically.
